A young man dies after falling from a fence during the Goose Day festival in Lekeitio

A young man died this Saturday in Lekeitio (Bizkaia) after falling from a security fence during the celebration of the Goose Day festival, as reported by the Ertzaintza.

The young man was following the geese test, which has brought together thousands of people in the port of Lekeitio, when he fell from a height of about two meters and suffered cardiorespiratory arrest, as reported by Red Cross health personnel.

The health services performed resuscitation maneuvers at the scene, without success, and a doctor certified death around 4:15 p.m.

An ambulance and two mobile ICUs had traveled to the port.

Goose Day, which this Saturday brought together thousands of people in Lekeitio, was developing normally until the event.

After what happened, according to municipal sources, the rest of the festive events planned for this Saturday by the City Council have been suspended.
