Cai Kangyong appeared at Shen Boyang’s campaign headquarters and was criticized by China’s Little Pink. Weibo and Xiaohongshu continued to lose followers.

Well-known host Tsai Kang-yong appeared at the inauguration meeting of Democratic Progressive Party Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Boyang's campaign headquarters yesterday (4th), and was criticized by China's Little Pink and called for a boycott. Even Tsai Kang-yong said that if he received an invitation from Kuomintang's Taipei mayoral candidate Chiang Wanan, he would go to observe. His official Weibo and Xiaohongshu continued to lose fans, and the number of views on his Weibo homepage continued to soar. I wonder if Tsai Kang-yong will come forward to explain this matter. Many Taiwanese people don't know why Little Pink cares so much about what Tsai Kang-yong said. It turns out that he has also done many well-known programs in China, among which the debate-based "Qi Pa Shuo" helped him gain a foothold.

Tsai Kang-yong's most famous masterpiece in Taiwan is "Kangxi Is Coming" hosted by "Little S" Xu Xidi. The two's tacit cooperation created a lot of topics, with a total of 2933 episodes broadcast. Many classic clips are still circulating on the Internet. In his early years, Cai Kangyong had few opportunities to appear in China because of his gay status. It was not until 2021 that he appeared in Dragon TV's "Top Chef 2" and "Mamma Mia". Cai Kangyong's scenes were deleted when they were broadcast.

In 2014, the first "Qi Pa Shuo" that combined "debate" and "variety show" was produced by iQiyi and produced by Miwei Media. The show has Ma Dong as the core host, and Cai Kangyong, Li Dan, Gao Xiaosong, Xue Zhaofeng and others as regular "mentor" guests. Among them, Ma Dong, Cai Kangyong, and Gao Xiaosong once formed the "Ma Xiaokang" iron triangle. In "Qi Pa Shuo", Cai Kangyong's incisive thinking, gentle and humorous attitude was loved by a large number of audiences and became an instant hit. Debaters Yan Rujing, Ma Weiwei, Qiu Chen, Xiao Xiao, Fu Seoul and others who participated in the program also became popular.

Cai Kangyong participated in "Qi Pa Shuo" from the first season in 2014 to the seventh season in 2021. This period is also the main reason why he is popular and established in China, and has become a household name host.
