Life is coming to life again in Hatay, which was heavily destroyed in the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake disaster. Within the scope of the 'Construction Campaign of the Century' carried out in 11 provinces, Antakya Atatürk Street was rebuilt in cooperation with TOKİ and Emlak Konut GYO, under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

Bülent Artun was one of the beneficiaries who found their new home with 5 thousand 933 independent sections completed. Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, shared the images of earthquake victim Artun on his virtual media account and said, "Hatay was one of the cities where we worked the hardest in the Construction of the Century. 'I DID NOT IMAGINE THAT WE COULD RETURN'

Bülent Artun talked about the difficult days after the earthquake and the devoted efforts of the state in the region. Artun said, "I could not even imagine that one day we would be able to return to Antakya again. Because after the debris was removed, everywhere was a field, everything was destroyed and spilled.

People were very devastated. Thanks to the state of the Republic of Türkiye, the city stood up. Life has begun now. As you can see, we are sitting at home. "It's a magnificent view," he said.

Underlining that the works were carried out with great devotion, Artun said, "There is doing a job wholeheartedly, and there is also doing it reluctantly. In Antakya, we worked wholeheartedly. Everything is very different, everything is very new. In our words, we call it 'cillop'. The state father built these places like a cillop. Thanks to the state of the Republic of Turkey, it took us under its wing. It gave us a new life, new hopes, new beauties."
