Minister Uraloğlu: Additional terminal construction for Şanlıurfa GAP Airport may be on the agenda

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, which hosts TEKNOFEST Southeast, is a regional airport with more than 1 million passengers and said, "With TEKNOFEST, this trend will continue for our airport, additional terminal construction will come to the agenda. Let that be our debt." he said.

Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), of which Anadolu Agency (AA) is the "Global Communication Partner" and carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, welcomes its visitors at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.

Uraloğlu visited the stand of PTT AŞ, located in TEKNOFEST Southeast. Minister Uraloğlu also examined the air traffic control unit screen of Istanbul Airport, produced in a virtual reality environment by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ).

Uraloğlu, who received information about DHMI's air traffic control simulator, chatted with children in the painting area created by the General Directorate for children.

Uraloğlu also visited the stand of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM) and received information about the events.

Later, Uraloğlu visited TÜRKSAT AŞ's stand and examined the company's Sky Wifi, Peycon Micron and Mobile Robotic Platform (mobile base station) products.

Uraloğlu, in his statement to journalists about TEKNOFEST, said that there was intense interest in the festival.

Stating that record numbers may have been reached in terms of participation in TEKNOFEST, Uraloğlu said, "When TEKNOFEST comes to mind, the first thing that comes to mind is aviation. Turkey has come a long way in the field of aviation. We are exhibiting products here, from aircraft to HÜRJETs, KAANs, AKINCIs and Türksat 6A, all of which are informed and that our young people and people can touch." he said.

Uraloğlu emphasized that such an event in the Southeast, Şanlıurfa, the capital of cultures, has found its purpose and gone beyond, and that the bar is very high.

Stating that participants came to TEKNOFEST not only from Şanlıurfa but also from different regions, Uraloğlu said:
