Schengen visa statement from Minister Yumaklı

Answering the questions of journalists in Edirne, Yumaklı stated that negotiations are continuing to solve the problem experienced by truck drivers carrying cargo to Europe regarding Schengen visas.

Yumaklı stated that a similar logistics problem was experienced in Russia and that the problem regarding the passage of trucks was solved after the contacts made.

Minister Yumaklı gave the following answer to the question about the Schengen visa:

"Another similar problem was in Russia, our trucks were at the door, that's why we went yesterday and it was opened, we solved that problem. Our Ministry of Commerce especially follows the side in Europe. We follow it too."

Yumaklı stated that the negotiations are continuing and said, "You are talking about the Schengen visa of truck drivers, right? These negotiations are continuing. Of course, our Minister of Trade was in America, I do not know what the latest situation was."

Emphasizing that the issue is being followed closely, Yumaklı said that he can share the developments with the public if they are communicated to him.

Yumaklı said, "This is also an issue that we follow very closely and carefully. I can contact them during the day and get the developments on this issue and share them with you during the day, or they can make a statement themselves."

Stating that he does not have clear information about the latest situation, Yumaklı said, "I cannot say anything now because I do not really know the latest situation, but it is an issue that we are following very closely and carefully."
