The cool and rainy weather coming from the Balkans will continue to cause cold.

General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) published the daily weather forecast report.

Today, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in a total of 36 cities.

The northern and inner parts of the country and the Mediterranean will be partly and very cloudy, the Central and Eastern Mediterranean, the south and east of Central Anatolia, the coastal parts of the Western Black Sea, the Central and Eastern Black Sea, Sinop, Malatya, Erzincan, Tunceli, Gaziantep, Kilis, Adıyaman and the inner parts of the west of Antalya will experience local showers and thunderstorms.

BEWARE OF HEAVY RAIN!

Rainfall is expected to be heavy in places in the Central Black Sea (except Çorum), Eastern Black Sea coasts, Gümüşhane surroundings, the north and east of Sivas and Adana, the east of Kayseri and the west of Osmaniye.

Meteorology issued a yellow code warning for 10 provinces.

The provinces given yellow codes are as follows:

Amasya, Artvin, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Ordu, Rize, Samsun, Sivas, Tokat, Trabzon

Strong showers that started in the morning will continue to increase in intensity throughout the day. Citizens were warned to be careful and cautious against possible negativities as the rains were expected to be heavy in places.

Rain is expected to be effective throughout the day. In addition, the wind is generally expected to blow from the south in the northern, southern and eastern parts, with light winds and occasionally with moderate force.
