8 Tons of Titanium Seized in Bartın: 3 Detained

Within the scope of the field and analysis studies carried out by the KOM Branch Directorate and Amasra District Police Department teams to prevent smuggling and detect criminal elements under the coordination of the Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out on the addresses and attachments of the suspect A.B. in the center of Bartın. While approximately 8 tons of titanium were seized during the operations, A.B., S.Ç. and H.B., who were thought to be connected to the incident, were seized. He was caught and detained.

EXTENSIVE SECURITY MEASURES

Extensive security measures were taken at the scene to determine whether the seized titanium contained radiation or an explosive or flammable trap. While measurements were carried out by AFAD teams to determine whether there was any radiation risk to human health, no negative effects were found during the controls.
