The dealer revealed the timing of the start of sales of the first AvtoVAZ crossover

Demonstration Lada Azimut will reach dealers in October, and sales of the first AvtoVAZ crossover will start in November. Alexander Shaprinsky, commercial director of the Pragmatika dealership network, told Autostat about this.

The model has a real opportunity to become one of the three best-selling Lada models, the expert believes. He suggested that the model’s share could be at least 10 percent due to the great interest of Russians in crossovers and SUVs.

Shaprinsky named the main competitors of the new product as Haval Jolion, Tenet T4L and Belgee X50. But the AvtoVAZ crossover has a big advantage - better suitability for winter use in Russia. Among other things, this provides a rare feature for the class: heated front side windows. An undoubted advantage is the absence of spare parts shortages and cost-effectiveness of maintenance.

In the future, Lada Azimut has every chance of becoming a new sales leader among crossovers and SUVs, the specialist is sure.

Meanwhile, AvtoVAZ tested the strength of the body of the new Lada Azimut crossover, applying a force of up to 10 tons to the door area. The manufacturer compared this force to the weight of six to seven passenger cars or two adult African elephants.
