The expert ruled out the possibility that the Usoltsev family escaped by helicopter

The Usoltsev family disappeared near the village of Kuturchin on September 28, 2025.

Honored air traffic controller first class Olga Komissarova believes that the version of the Usoltsev family escaping by helicopter is excluded, since the flight in that area would not have gone unnoticed by local residents.

For any flight, an application must be submitted to the Federal Air Navigation Service, and no pilot will risk his license by flying without an application, Komissarova noted.

The version of the escape by helicopter of the Usoltsevs who disappeared in the taiga of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is excluded, because the flight in the area where the family disappeared would not have gone unnoticed by local residents, said Olga Komissarova, Honored Air Traffic Controller First Class.

The Usoltsev family - Sergei, Irina and their five-year-old daughter - disappeared near the village of Kuturchin on September 28, 2025: they went on a hike to Mount Buratinka and did not return. They also had a corgi dog with them. The last large-scale search was carried out in June 2026. Now the investigation is considering the version of an accident as a priority, but does not exclude crime. A version was put forward on social networks that the Usoltsevs could have escaped by helicopter.

As Komissarova told RIA Novosti, helicopters rarely fly in the area where the family disappeared, and the sound of takeoff would not have gone unnoticed by the local population. In addition, for any flight it is necessary to submit an application to the Federal Air Navigation Service, the expert noted.

“I think that not a single pilot will lose his license for violating airspace by flying without an application. Whether there was an application or not can only be verified officially. Even if we consider the possibility of flying by helicopter, the (local) population could not help but notice a helicopter in that area and (not hear) the noise,” the interlocutor said.

Based on this, the expert believes, the version of the Usoltsevs escaping by helicopter is excluded.
