Baby is born inside the amniotic sac in a forced birth registered in Sorriso

According to obstetrician and gynecologist Ana Maria Carvalho Nunes, the baby remained inside the amniotic fluid bag even after being removed from the uterus and was sleeping during the procedure. Upon waking up, out of his mother's womb, the boy stretched and broke his own water (watch above).

The cesarean section was scheduled and the baby was within the expected gestation period, according to the hospital. During the procedure, the bag did not break due to the resistance of the membrane that surrounds the baby.

In deliveries of this type, doctors usually break the water after removing the baby. In this case, however, the team waited for the boy to wake up.

Pregnancy birth is a rare occurrence. According to the doctor, this type of birth occurs in around one in every 80,000 births and is more common in cesarean sections than in natural births.

According to the doctor, a forced birth does not pose any risks to the mother or the baby when accompanied by the medical team. Removal can be done with the bag still intact, while professionals monitor the situation.

The obstetrician also said that this was the third difficult birth she had attended since she started working in Sorriso. The other cases were also registered by the nursing team, with authorization from mothers and families.

According to her, the most recent case drew attention because the baby took longer to break the water, allowing the team to record the moment. According to the hospital, the boy was born well and is healthy.
