From a young man to a famous doctor in the industry, Lin Ding, the vice president of Aier Ophthalmology and the chief president of Hunan-Jiangxi Province, has been working diligently in ophthalmology for more than 40 years. In 1977, 17-year-old Lin Ding was admitted to Jiangxi Medical College. After graduation, he was assigned to work in the facial features department of a county hospital. After working for a period of time, Lin Ding discovered that there were not a few patients coming for treatment due to eye diseases. At that time, the hospital did not have an independent ophthalmology department and there were no professional ophthalmologists. The idea of establishing an ophthalmology department gradually took shape in his mind. Under Lin Ding's promotion, the hospital became a local county-level hospital that independently opened an ophthalmology department.
Later, unwilling to accept the status quo, he went through the postgraduate entrance examination and PhD study... In 1995, Lin Ding left the postdoctoral position and stayed at the Ophthalmology Department of Beijing Tongren Hospital. In the same year, at the age of thirty-five, he was promoted to deputy chief physician and associate professor. During his tenure at Tongren Hospital, he set a record of 120 outpatient visits to the glaucoma specialist in a single day. No matter how busy he is, Lin Ding insists on greeting patients with a smile. After practicing medicine for many years, Lin Ding often mentioned two words - "no regrets". Whether it is about work or every operation, he must do every detail well and have no regrets. When it comes to complex cases or difficult surgeries, he always handles them personally.
On September 25, Xiaodi (pseudonym), who was one year and ten months old, underwent cataract surgery on his left eye at Changsha Aier Eye Hospital. The surgery was performed by Lin Ding himself. This was also the third cataract surgery Lin Ding performed for this family. The fate of this family and Lin Ding starts with the eldest sister Xiaojie (pseudonym). Thirteen years ago, Xiaojie was troubled by hereditary congenital cataracts. She sought out Lin Ding and successfully completed the surgery. In August this year, the 7-year-old second sister Xiaoya (pseudonym) also walked into Lin Ding's clinic. Lin Ding combined her personal situation, comprehensively assessed eye development and surgical risks, and carefully formulated a personalized surgical plan. During the ward rounds for Xiaoya, the doctor took into account her family medical history and also checked Xiaodi beside him. After further examination, it was confirmed that he also suffered from congenital cataracts. In view of the special situation of the child, Lin Ding's team carried out careful and complete preoperative preparations. What makes the family even more gratified is that the worry about the cost of surgery has also been resolved with the help of Lin Ding's team. Lin Ding’s team helped them apply for special assistance from the Hunan Eye Care Foundation’s public welfare diagnosis and treatment area.
In 2005, Lin Ding came to Changsha and served as the president of Changsha Aier Eye Hospital. Here, Lin Ding leads the team to launch a number of service initiatives, optimizing and improving everything from the medical treatment process to the medical experience. At the same time, he worked hard to build a complete training system for specialist doctors and personally taught young doctors. Under his leadership, Changsha Aier Eye Hospital has laid a good foundation and achieved rapid development. Not long ago, Changsha Aier Eye Hospital successfully passed the tertiary-A specialist hospital rating review and became the first tertiary-A specialist eye hospital in Hunan Province. Later, Lin Ding was promoted to the general president of Aier Eye Hospital in Hunan Province, the general president of Hunan and Jiangxi Province, and the vice president of Aier Eye Hospital Group.
Recently, "Professor Lin Ding's Famous Ophthalmology Expert Studio" was unveiled at Guizhou Aier Eye Hospital. He will regularly go to Guizhou to carry out outpatient and surgical guidance work and form a normalized expert inspection mechanism. It is both a medical inspection and a teaching tour.
