Munich. The traditional spirits manufacturer Berentzen is about to be sold to the USA. The company from Haselünne in Lower Saxony confirmed on Wednesday evening negotiations about a takeover offer from the alcohol manufacturer Sazerac from New Orleans for Berentzen.
Berentzen Group AG is valued on the stock exchange at around 33 million euros. On Wednesday, the shares, which are almost entirely in free float, rose by seven percent following a report from the Bloomberg news agency about American interest.
