Loan shark operation in five provinces: 53 detained

According to the statement made on the ministry's virtual media account; As a result of the work carried out in coordination with the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department and the Chief Public Prosecutors' Offices, operations were organized in Batman, Hatay, Kars, Kocaeli and Tokat.

In this context, 53 suspects, whose accounts were detected to have activity of 9 billion 170 million TL, were caught. Assets worth 273 million TL belonging to the suspects were seized. Suspects caught during operations; It was determined that they put citizens under pressure by making them indebted at high interest rates, forced them to sign blank or high-denomination checks and promissory notes as collateral, and took over the assets of citizens who could not pay by threatening and pressuring them.

The statement also said; "For the peace and security of our citizens, we continue our fight against organized crime structures with determination, regardless of place, time and place, day and night. We will not allow criminal organizations or the dark structures that feed them.
