The threat situation for defense companies is acute

The Federal Association of the German Aerospace Industry welcomed the Interior Minister's initiative on drone defense. "It is right that the federal government is further developing the legal basis for drone defense; drones over their facilities have been a recurring problem for many of our members for a long time," said managing director Marie-Christine von Hahn to SPIEGEL.

Von Hahn emphasized that there are already effective technologies for drone defense. “It is high time to at least give these companies the legal ability to use their own systems themselves if necessary,” said the head of the association.
