Police in Luzhou, New Taipei, arrest two suspects and seize firearms, drugs and stolen cars

Officers from the Jixian Police Station of the New Taipei City Luzhou Police Division were on patrol the day before yesterday when they discovered a car driving extremely fast and with a license plate that was found to be stolen. The police did not alert the snake, but notified the police on the line to intercept and round up the suspect. Finally, they traced the clues to a tin house on Wuhua Street, where they successfully arrested the two suspects in the car and also seized drugs, guns and other contraband.

It is reported that at around 0:00 that day, after the Jixian police officers discovered the unusually fast vehicle, they quickly notified the supporting police force to conduct a joint roundup. The police tracked them all the way to a tin house on Wuhua Street in Luzhou District. They arrested two men, 39-year-old Weng and 50-year-old Li, on the spot. They found an air rifle in a cabinet in the tin house. In addition, a 6-gram package of amphetamines, a set of inhalers, two packages of refill bags, a stolen vehicle and two license plates of his vehicle that had been reported stolen were also seized at the scene.

After investigation, Weng and Li had multiple criminal records including firearms, drugs, injury and public danger. When questioned by the police, the two claimed that they rented the tin house and planned to run a car wash. They used the same method to shirk responsibility. They claimed that the air guns, drugs and stolen cars seized at the scene were all owned by a common friend. They strongly denied involvement in the case and tried to shirk responsibility.

The police had reservations about the confessions of the two suspects and collected urine for testing. After police inquiries, the two suspects Weng and Li were brought to justice on suspicion of firearms, drugs, embezzlement and other crimes. The police will continue to trace the source of the gun and drug and the whereabouts of the "friend".
