Rosatom General Director Alexey Likhachev used the term “genocide” in connection with the attacks on Zaporizhzhya NPP and Energodar.

Over four and a half months, more than 750 strikes were carried out by Ukrainian drones and artillery on Energodar and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

In recent months, starting from the end of April, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have sharply intensified attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and its satellite city Energodar, said Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna.

“Now, starting from the end of April, the Ukrainians have sharply intensified their attack on the Zaporizhia NPP, on Energodar,” Ulyanov said at a briefing at the international multimedia press center “Russia Today”.

As the diplomat recalled, earlier Rosatom General Director Alexei Likhachev used the word “genocide” on this occasion.

“I don’t want to enter into an expert discussion about how applicable this term is to one particular region of the Russian Federation, but the situation is really extremely serious,” Ulyanov emphasized.
