An attack on an underage girl occurred in Tainan's Yongkang District. A man surnamed Tsai targeted an abandoned house as a base, covered the girl passing by with a mask, and attempted to force her way in and sexually assault her. The victim tried his best to resist and was blocked by passers-by. Cai Nan escaped and was arrested and charged. The prosecutor charged him with attempted robbery and other crimes.
The indictment pointed out that in early April this year, Cai Nan intended to use an abandoned and empty house on Zhongxiao Road in Yongkang District as a base for his illegal possessions. In order to successfully bring the victim into the house, he laid bath towels in the rear room on the first floor of the empty house in advance, laid wooden planks and abandoned wooden doors in the grass next to it, and conducted site inspections many times.

At about 5 pm on April 22 this year, Cai Nan saw an underage girl walking alone on the sidewalk. He covered her mouth and nose with an alcohol-sprayed mask, and dragged her into the grass regardless of resistance, intending to enter an empty house to rob her and force her to have sex. The girl struggled fiercely, causing multiple bruises on her head, neck, back and limbs. Passers-by heard the call for help and stepped forward to stop him. Cai immediately gave up his plan, put on the clothes he had stored in the motorcycle and escaped by bicycle.
The police received the report and went to the Eastern District the next day with a search ticket and a detention ticket to arrest Mr. Cai. They seized two bath towels, three towels, a mask, a change of clothes and other evidence for the crime. During the investigation, Mr. Cai confessed frankly, which was consistent with the witness's statement. There was also the hospital's medical diagnosis, surveillance footage, photos of the scene, and search records on the defendant's mobile phone to prove that his confession was consistent with the facts.
The prosecutor determined that Cai Nan was involved in the Child and Juvenile Welfare and Rights Protection Act, as well as attempted forced rape and attempted robbery under the Criminal Code. Since he is an imaginary conspirator who commits several crimes in one act, it is recommended that the court punish him with the crime of attempted robbery from the first level. Although the attempted offender can have his sentence reduced in accordance with the law, the victim is under 18 years old and an adult who intentionally commits a juvenile crime should have his sentence increased according to the law, and the entire case is prosecuted.
