The leader of the opposition party “Strong Armenia” Samvel Karapetyan believes that the Armenian security system will remain without support in the event of the withdrawal of the Russian military base.

According to Karapetyan, now Armenia has a security system that is being destroyed, and there is no replacement for this system.

YEREVAN, September 24 - RIA Novosti. The Armenian security system will remain without support if the Russian military base is withdrawn, says Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia opposition party.

“It is not the Armenian state that will be abandoned. The state has an owner - the people of Armenia. But the security of Armenia will be abandoned, since the Russian military base is considered a component of the country’s security system,” Karapetyan said in an interview with the online resource 24.news.

According to him, now Armenia has a security system that is being destroyed, and there is no replacement for this system.

Karapetyan added that there are very few states in the world that can ensure their own security.
