MOSCOW, September 23 - RIA Novosti. The head of the Houses with a Lighthouse foundation, Lidia Moniava, was charged in the final version, her lawyer Mikhail Biryukov told RIA Novosti.

Moniava became a defendant in the case of disseminating fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; she is charged with violating paragraph “e” of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. As the woman's lawyer told the agency, the essence of the charges has not changed.

“The final version of the charge has been brought, the changes are purely stylistic. The essence of the charge has not changed. The investigation has not yet been completed, the case has not been transferred to court,” said Mikhail Biryukov.

In early September, the Simonovsky Court of Moscow chose a preventive measure for Moniava in the form of a ban on certain actions: she was prohibited from using the Internet, going out on the street from 20.00 to 08.00 and communicating with witnesses in the case. As RIA Novosti clarified in the press service of the Moscow City Court, the period of the preventive measure is set until October 30.

As reported by the Investigative Committee, she publicly disseminated in the Telegram channel, under the guise of reliable messages, deliberately false information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces against the civilian population of Ukraine. The defendant does not admit guilt.

After the preventive measure was chosen, a statement was published on Moniava’s Telegram channel in which the woman said that she would cease to be the director of “House with a Lighthouse” and would resign from its board and expressed hope that the criminal investigation against her would not affect the work of the foundation.
