Dmitry Kobylkin headed the United Russia faction in the State Duma

Dmitry Kobylkin headed the United Russia faction, which received a record number of seats in the State Duma. The decision was made at the first factional meeting, RIA Novosti reports.

Kobylkin was elected leader of the faction based on voting results.

“The decision has been made,” concluded Vladimir Yakushev, secretary of the party’s general council.

Earlier it became known that following the results of the State Duma elections, the United Russia party received 349 mandates. The Central Election Commission (CEC) stated that the party received a record number of seats in the Duma in its history.
