Cabo Frio begins registration of watercraft operators for tourist activities

The City of Cabo Frio, in the Lakes Region of Rio, opens this Tuesday (3) the registration period for operators of water scooters (jet skis) who operate or intend to operate in the commercial exploitation of nautical tourism activities in the municipality. The deadline for registration is November 27th.

Each company may register up to three personal watercraft, as long as the vehicles and their respective drivers meet the requirements established by municipal legislation and the notice. For each piece of equipment, it will be necessary to present the corresponding specific documentation.

According to the notice, all documentation must be regularized and valid at the time of registration, a condition that must be maintained throughout the period of validity of the authorization to operate the activity.

Requests must be filed at the headquarters of the Municipal Tourism Secretariat, located at the Transatlânticos Terminal, in the Passagem neighborhood, from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12pm and from 1:30pm to 5pm, except on holidays and optional points.

The City Hall emphasizes that registration does not guarantee automatic authorization for the operation. The authorization of the activity will depend on the analysis of the documentation presented, the carrying out of any inspections and the issuance of the Authorization Term, which will be personal, precarious and non-transferable.
