Calcagno (Aic) defends Malagò and criticizes the risk of the FIGC being placed under commissionership

As far as we are concerned, we consider the situation paradoxical, we have expressed our support for President Malagò and our closeness. But it is something that goes beyond the individual person and the electoral process which we believe was done in the right way. Thus Umberto Calcagno, president of Aic, on the sidelines of the FIGC federal council on the membership issue that concerns Malagò and which risks leading to the administration of the Football Federation. "What is being questioned today is the regularity of federal action. I believe that, even for us who are part of it, it is the thing we need least because a possible administration would mean having a dispute for many months with certainty which we will gladly do without", continues Calcagno. Finally, to those who ask about the unity of the components in supporting Malagò, Calcagno replies: "Of course, but also for a sense of belonging that goes beyond the individual person and beyond everything that is happening. A possible appeal to the council? Let's hope there is no need".
