The month starts with strikes in local public transport (buses, trams and metro) in some large cities, starting from Genoa where an abstention from work in ATM is scheduled for Friday 4 September. The agitation, called by Cub Trasporti, will affect the urban and extra-urban service from 9.30 to 17.00.
On Saturday 5 September it will be the turn of Venice where a 4-hour stoppage is planned, from 4.00pm to 8.00pm, for the Atvo workers participating in the strike jointly proclaimed by Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uilt Uil and Faisa Cisal.
On Monday 7 September the protest arrives in Vicenza where Cub Trasporti has announced the suspension of Tpi vehicles for the entire day, while respecting the guarantee bands.
Nationwide, it starts on Monday 7 September, with rail transport involved in a 24-hour strike. The agitation, called by the Pdm/Pdb National Assembly, starting at 9.18pm on the 7th until 9.17pm on Tuesday the 8th will concern the engine and on-board staff of the Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) Group, Mercitalia Rail, Trenitalia and Trenitalia Tper Scarl.
On the same day, a strike is scheduled, proclaimed by SGB and Cub Trasporti and by CAT in freight transport and, more generally, in railway activity.
At a regional level, in Piedmont the 24-hour strike called by Osr Orsa Ferrovie involving Trenitalia staff, regional Csvd customer operations management, should be noted. On Monday 7 September alone, an 8-hour strike is planned in Trentino Alto Adige from 9:00 to 17:00 which will involve Trenitalia staff belonging to the Operations and Network Directorate (Dor).
On the local public transport front, two strikes are planned for Thursday 10 September in Trento and Foggia which will involve urban and extra-urban transport. In the Trentino capital there will be a shutdown from 11:00 to 15:00 while in the Apulian city the abstention from work will cover the entire day from 8:30 to 12:30 and from 15:30 to 19:30.
For those traveling on the railway network, potential critical issues could arise on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 September due to the 24-hour national strike proclaimed by Orsa which will affect the maintenance, administrative and engineering staff of RFi Doit ut Sud in Verona. The agitation will start from 9pm on the 10th until 8.59pm on the 11th.
As regards rail freight transport, the national strike of Captrain Italia workers proclaimed by Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti is scheduled from 4pm on Thursday 10th to 4pm on Friday 11th September.
On the subject of air transport, a 4-hour national strike of Poste Air Cargo called by Filt Cgil, Anpac, Anp, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti is scheduled for Friday 11 September.
However, the greatest inconveniences could occur on Sunday 13 September due to the strike proclaimed by Usb Lavoroprivate which, from 11:00 to 15:00, will involve the staff of Toscana Aeroporti, Gh Toscana and Consulta in the Pisa and Florence airports.
On the same day of September 13th, the surveillance institutes of various airports will cross arms: Rome Fiumicino, Malpensa and Turin.
On the ICC front, the most complicated day of the month could be Tuesday 15 September with possible disruptions in several large cities. On that same date the protest will affect Florence where Autolinee Toscana will stop from the start of service at 4.15am, from 8.14am to 12.30pm and from 2.29pm to the end of service; In Ravenna the workers of Start Romagna participating in the mobilization will cross their arms from 8.30 to 12.00. While in Naples the staff of the Anm iron area will abstain from 12.45pm to 4.45pm. In Prato, Autolinee Toscane will stop from the start of service at 4.15am, from 8.14am to 12.30pm and from 2.29pm to the end of service. The protest returns again to Venice (Atvo) for the whole day and to Pisa (Autolinee Toscane), with a strike scheduled from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
On Tuesday 22 September the protest in the Tpi sector will instead concern Umbria due to the Busitalia Sita Nord strike. The guarantee slots will be respected in Perugia and Spoleto from 6:00 to 9:00 and from 12:00 to 15:00, in Terni from 6:30 to 9:30 and from 12:30 to 15:30. While for railway services the guarantee periods will be from 5.45am to 8.45am and from 11.45am to 2.45pm.
However, the 24-hour general national strike that had been proclaimed by the CSLE union for Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September was cancelled. Among the sectors involved were ministries, railways, special statute regions, local functions, autonomous provinces, independent authorities, petrol stations, education and healthcare. But also the personnel working in the national fire brigade, who would have had to fold their arms for 4 hours.
