Lula's campaign reinforces useful voting strategy in the final stretch

The campaign for the re-election of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will reinforce the preaching of useful votes in the last week before the first round. The speech was made explicit at an event on Friday (25) with businesspeople, in São Paulo.

According to a member of the campaign, the main line is that it is not necessary to unconditionally approve the PT's management, but rather compare the president with his opponents, especially Flávio Bolsonaro.

In his speech at the event held in a luxury hotel, Lula summarized the argument by saying that he would understand the doubt in voters' minds if the competition was between him and a genius – but that this is not the case against the PL senator.

One of the main businessmen present, Joesley Batista, from J&F, agreed with the PT member's speech, with whom he is now close.

"The president has the gift of gab. He is uncomfortable with comparisons that are made, for example, when they demand a surplus from his government, which is greater than that made in previous governments," he told the Panel.

Joesley also said he foresees a close election. "The impression is that it has become a right versus left thing."
