Deputy Rui Falcão calls for an end to Daniel Vorcaro's cell phone confidentiality

Federal deputy Rui Falcão (PT-SP) filed a request with the Attorney General's Office for the body to ask the Federal Supreme Court to lift the full secrecy and disclose data from banker Daniel Vorcaro's cell phone, seized in Operation Compliance Zero.

The parliamentarian maintains that there is no longer any justification for keeping the content hidden from society.

He argues that the banker's defense already had access to the full data and that the Federal Police delivered copies to the offices of ministers Cristiano Zanin, Alexandre de Moraes and Gilmar Mendes, of the STF. Part was also shared with Congress.

For Falcão, maintaining secrecy only for society creates a situation of selective access and prevents public control over information of national interest.

The request also demands information from those who received the copies and access records and requests mechanisms to investigate any selective leaks and the full preservation of all material.

"Brazil has the right to know the entirety of the evidence and not just excerpts chosen by those who currently control access to Vorcaro's cell phone", says the deputy.
