Candidates for the government of Maranhão present proposals for transparency and combating corruption in campaign agendas

Candidates for the government of Maranhão André Luiz (Missão), Orleans Brandão (MDB) and Reginaldo Lima completed campaign agendas this Friday (4) and presented proposals related to transparency and the fight against corruption.

Candidate Orleans Brandão participated in a political event in Aldeias Altas, in the interior of Maranhão. The agenda brought together supporters on the streets of the city and is part of the strategy to reach out to voters in the interior of the state.

During his visit to the municipality, the candidate was asked about proposals to increase transparency in public administration and combat corruption.

Orleans Brandão stated that he intends to expand government information control and disclosure actions.

"We have evolved a lot in recent years. Governor Brandão created a government, a management that is a diamond seal, one of the best in all of Brazil. We are fourth today in transparency and control. But I intend to expand even further, to expand the fight against corruption throughout the state of Maranhão", he declared.

The candidate also said that he intends to strengthen the work of the Public Ministry, the Civil Police and the State Planning and Control Secretariat.

According to Orleans Brandão, supervisory bodies, such as the Court of Auditors, must act as partners with the public administration to expand control and accountability to the population.
