Mandragora capital gains case: Udinese leaders acquitted

The judicial proceedings on the capital gains case linked to the operations on the footballer Rolando Mandragora end with three acquittals. The Gup of the Court of Udine acquitted the president of Udinese, Franco Soldati, and the vice-president, Stefano Campoccia, because "the fact is not foreseen by law as a crime".

Udinese Calcio was also acquitted "because the fact does not exist".

The Prosecutor's Office had requested two years' imprisonment for Soldati and Campoccia and a fine of 500 thousand euros for the company.

The charges related, for various reasons, to false corporate communications, fraudulent declarations and IRES tax evasion. At the center of the proceedings are the operations relating to Mandragora, purchased by Juventus in 2018 and returned to Turin two years later.
