Loose horse causes concern in Guarujá after fatal accident with motorcyclist

Driver Bruno Souza, responsible for the recording, told g1 that he saw the animal for the first time at the location on Sunday (13). According to him, at that moment, he was with his girlfriend and was unable to film it.

Souza said that, on Monday morning (14), he passed through the avenue again and found the horse at the bus stop. According to him, some people were outside the structure because the animal occupied the space reserved for passengers.

On Tuesday (15), however, Souza did not find the animal at the location. "I don't know if it has already been removed from there, if it has been taken somewhere or if the owners have already collected it," he said. g1 contacted Guarujá City Hall, but received no response until the last update of this report.

Souza reported that the presence of animals loose on public roads is common in the city and called for more effective inspection. For him, the situation could also pose a risk to drivers and passengers.

"Where is the owner? There is no fine for the owner of this horse, right? If you want to have the animal, you have to have space and you have to be careful [...]. Horses cannot be traveling on urban roads, causing accidents, and be abandoned and thrown like that", he said.

On August 28, a 32-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a horse on Avenida Vereador Lydio Martins Corrêa, in the Vila Zilda neighborhood. At the time, the animal also died.
