MTP and Election Statement from Cevdet Yılmaz

Announcing the Medium Term Program covering the period 2027-2029, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz answered the questions of members of the press.

Answering the question about the election process, Yılmaz said, "While preparing this program, we prepared it thinking that the elections would be on time, towards the spring or summer of 2028. We did not make any speculative assumptions there."

YILMAZ POINTED TO THE ASSEMBLY

"These issues are matters for our Parliament to decide," said Yılmaz, adding, "If it will take the election a little further, it is at the discretion of the Parliament. We thought it would not be right to make an assumption already."

12 POINT INCREASE IN YEAR-END INFLATION FORECAST

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced the Medium Term Program covering the period 2027-2029.

Accordingly, the year-end inflation forecast increased from 16 percent to 28.4 percent.

Inflation was predicted to decrease to 21 percent in 2027, 13.5 percent in 2028 and 9 percent in 2029.
