CHP's 103rd anniversary was celebrated: The Anıtkabir ceremony was crowded, the reception at the headquarters was dull

CHP's current management celebrated the party's 103rd anniversary with a reception in the garden of CHP Headquarters.

Unlike the well-attended ceremony at Anıtkabir, the reception was dull. Names such as suspended Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer did not come to the reception.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, one of the most talked about names of the night, did not attend any of the anniversary events. However, the staff of the Butlan administration stated that "this situation is not a matter to be discussed and it happened within their knowledge."

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Akın attended the ceremony in Anıtkabir and also came to the headquarters. Akın told reporters here, "CHP is our home. Are we going to separate our home just because there was an argument? On the contrary, we should all work together in unity and solidarity."

THERE IS INCE, THERE IS NO RELEASE

It was also noteworthy that among the names attending the ceremony was Muharrem İnce, who competed with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for the chairmanship in the past and left the CHP, and then returned to the party during the Özgür Özel period. İnce came side by side with Kılıçdaroğlu during the reception. Speaking here, İnce said, "CHP is the party that teaches the village child to play the violin. We could not leave our party, one of Atatürk's two great works, alone in its 103rd year. That's why I'm here."

Gürsel Erol, who criticized both the party management and Özgür Özel after the Butlan decision, but also announced that he would not be a candidate for the chairmanship, was among the names that attended the reception. Apart from this, the names appointed by the appointments made in the party after the ban and some MPs also attended the event. However, Istanbul Deputy Oğuz Kaan Salıcı, whose name was mentioned as a candidate for chairman, did not attend the meeting.

Edirne Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan, who had harassment allegations against him and was referred to discipline, also attended the reception at the headquarters.

'CHP CANNOT BE SOLD' POST

At the reception, where a musical concert was also held, a film featuring past CHP chairmen was shown. While Özgür Özel was not included in the film, it was noteworthy that Deniz Baykal's statements "The person who will be the chairman of the CHP will not have sold the CHP. He will not have tried to buy the CHP."

Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to office with the Butlan decision, generally referred to allegations regarding congress discussions without naming names in his speeches. Kılıçdaroğlu, who came to the podium during the music and made a short speech, said, "A politician is a person who is ready to answer to the public. If you are not ready to answer to the public, it means you are ready to take away the goods. This is not in our book. We consider it an honorable duty to account for every penny to this nation."

Before Kılıçdaroğlu's speech, a light and fireworks show was held.
