The head of Ukrainian diplomacy was forced to speak in an air raid shelter with his Belgian counterpart, visiting kyiv. “Due to Russian drones attacking our capital, we held our meetings underground, in the bomb shelter” of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriï Sybiga said on X, following a meeting with his Belgian counterpart Maxime Prévot.

Ukraine orders the evacuation of several localities in the center-east
Faced with the deterioration of the security situation, the Ukrainian authorities ordered the evacuation of families in several localities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, located in the center-east of the country.
These compulsory evacuations concern sixteen localities, the head of the local military administration, Oleksandr Ganja, wrote on Telegram. “Families with children have one month to leave these areas,” he said, adding that this concerns nearly 2,200 children. Evacuated civilians can be accommodated in centers and benefit from state support for their resettlement.
Ukraine, which calls on civilians in the most exposed areas to leave for safer regions, regularly announces this type of measures to react to the intensification of Russian strikes or the advance of Moscow's forces.
Zelensky vows to respond to Russian attack near Kharkiv
“The Russians violently attacked a busy intersection” where “the post office and stores are located, surrounded only by residential buildings,” said Volodymyr Zelensky, after the Russian strike on Pecheniguy, a town located about sixty kilometers from the city of Kharkiv.
Images from the site of the strike, published by Ukrainian emergency services, show rescuers evacuating victims, amid destroyed buildings and burning cars.
“We will obviously respond to this Russian attack,” added the Ukrainian president, calling on his allies to increase their pressure on Moscow.
Russian strike kills ten in northeastern Ukraine
A Russian strike in northeastern Ukraine left at least ten dead and eight injured, the head of the military administration of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Synegubov, said on Tuesday.
The attack occurred in a town located about sixty kilometers from Kharkiv, he said on Telegram, indicating that emergency services are still on the job.
At least 620 drones were launched towards Moscow overnight
The mayor of Moscow announced this Tuesday morning that at least 620 drones had been launched against the region of the Russian capital overnight. Among these devices, 180 were destroyed in the Moscow region between Monday evening and 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sergei Sobyanin wrote on Telegram. Local governor Andreï Vorobiov, for his part, reported that the attack left three injured, including a 10-year-old child.
A drone also struck a warehouse of Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries. The company's press service confirmed that a "logistics complex" suffered "minor damage" due to an attack.
Russian Foreign Ministry summons Japanese ambassador
The Japanese ambassador to Russia must respond to a summons from the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, after Vladimir Putin's visit to the Kuril Islands aroused a territorial dispute between the two countries.
Russo-Japanese relations are poisoned by a dispute surrounding four of these islands which the Soviet army seized in 1945, in the last days of the Second World War. Japan claims them, while Russia considers them part of its territory. The Russian president went there last week, provoking the anger of Japan, which had summoned the Russian ambassador.
