A young man identified as Felipe Bento da Silva, aged 22, drowned while fishing on the Branco River, in Iracema, south of Roraima, this Thursday (10).
The victim's sister reported to the police that Felipe was fishing with two men when, around 6pm, he disappeared in the water, close to the banks of the river.
Witnesses told the family that the young man had cramps. They tried to help Felipe, but were unable to remove him from the water.
The Fire Department reported that it was called in the early evening and began searching. Felipe was located about 20 minutes later, already dead.
