A car and a jeep collided in Çorum: 4 dead, 1 seriously injured

The accident occurred at around 00.30 at Ceritbeli location on the Çorum-İskilip highway. The car with plate number 19 AHJ 649, driven by Zehra Betül Yılmaz, and the jeep with plate number 19 DR 008, driven by Mert Üstünel, collided head-on. After the accident, fire brigade, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. During the check-up by the paramedics, it was determined that the drivers Zehra Betül Yılmaz and Mert Üstünel and Hüsra Lal, who was in the car, lost their lives. Ömer Cebeci and Münevver Lal, who were taken out of the vehicles, were taken to Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital after the intervention of medical teams. Ömer Cebeci, one of the injured people under treatment, could not be saved despite all the intervention of the doctors. It was learned that Münevver Lal's life was in danger.

After the investigation of the gendarmerie teams at the scene, the bodies of the 4 people who lost their lives were taken to the morgue of Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital. An investigation has been launched into the accident.
