Courbevoie: a woman killed by numerous stab wounds, her companion arrested

A woman was found dead during the night from Saturday to Sunday in an apartment in Courbevoie in Hauts-de-Seine, Le Figaro learned from a police source.

A crew was sent to the scene after a call reporting that a woman was the victim of violence by her husband, “with the use of a knife”, we are told.

When police arrived, they discovered the victim lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Around fifty stab wounds were found on his body. Emergency services tried to take care of her, but the victim died before being transported to hospital.

The victim's companion was immediately searched and spotted by a police car. He was accompanied by another man when the officers arrested him. Faced with his resistance, the police had to fire their electric pulse pistol twice to subdue him.

Aged 25, he was placed in police custody at the Nanterre police station, “the facts are described as femicide”, indicates our police source.

In 2024, 107 women were killed by their spouse or ex-spouse, after 96 in 2023, an increase of 11%, according to the latest data from the Interministerial Mission for the Protection of Women (Miprof).
