The holidays of Russian tourists in Thailand are in jeopardy due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The Shot Telegram channel writes about this.

Currently, a trip for two to Thailand costs about 150 thousand rubles. It is clarified that many Russians who booked tours for November and December were warned about possible problems due to the large number of cases. At the same time, trips have not yet been cancelled, but some are being offered to choose Vietnam as an alternative.

In total, since the beginning of 2026, 135.7 thousand cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified in Thailand, almost 65 thousand of them were recorded between August 9 and September 8. Most cases are concentrated in tourist areas. The outbreak is attributed to the rainy season. However, there are no restrictions for those entering Thailand yet.
