Thailand, Türkiye and China topped the list of countries for holidays for Russian tourists for the New Year holidays, a representative of the OneTwoTrip service told RIA Novosti.

“This year we are seeing an interesting transformation in the approach of Russians to planning foreign trips for the New Year holidays: tourists began to rest a little less days, but at the same time choose more expensive and comfortable living conditions,” the service said.

It is noted that Thailand remains the undisputed leader among foreign destinations for the upcoming January holidays - it accounts for 14.1% of all foreign hotel bookings, Turkey is in second place with a share of 6.7%, and China closes the top three with 6.6%.

According to the service, the average cost of daily accommodation in Thailand during this period is 18.7 thousand rubles, in Turkey - 13.1 thousand, and in China - 13.6 thousand.

In addition, the top 5 destinations for foreign New Year's holidays included the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with an average nightly cost of 5.3 thousand rubles. In fifth place is Vietnam, the average price per night is 12.95 thousand rubles.
