Statements from President Erdoğan on the Defense Agreement Signed in Mecca and Regional Policies

Speaking at the meeting, President Erdoğan's statements are as follows; Dear guests, ladies and gentlemen. I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings. First of all, I would like to thank our Directorate of Communications and SETA for organizing this meeting. These meetings, which have become traditional, allow us to understand each other better and take a tour of the horizons on world issues. This is the underlying idea of ​​the common defense agreement we signed with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in Mecca. With this agreement, we aim to establish the axis of stability that we feel is most lacking in our geography. It is essential to establish freedom of navigation and the sovereignty of the countries in the region in the Strait of Hormuz.

Protecting Syria's territorial integrity, securing the rights of all ethnic and religious communities, and completely clearing the country of terrorist organizations remain our priorities. We believe that our close cooperation with America will produce added value not only in the two plans, but also in establishing peace, stability and tranquility in our region.
