President Erdoğan: We will declare the coming period as the 'Turkish century'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosts guest heads of state at Beştepe Nation Exhibition Hall on the occasion of 29 October Republic Day and TDT Summit.

Highlights from President Erdoğan's statements:

I congratulate our distinguished guests in this hall and all our citizens watching us on their screens on October 29 Republic Day. I remember with mercy and gratitude the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, all the staff who led and managed the national struggle, all our martyrs, veterans, and the esteemed members of our Assembly at that time. As a nation, we perceive the 103rd anniversary of our Republic very differently this year. We are excited to celebrate our Republic Day with our brothers from the same parliament, the Organization of Turkish States.

I would like to express my gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Tokayev, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Caparov, the President of Uzbekistan, Mr. Mirziyoyev, the President of Turkmenistan, Mr. Berdimuhamedov, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mr. Erhurman, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Ms. Bayramova, and their valuable delegations, who shared our holiday enthusiasm on the occasion of the 13th summit of the Organization, to myself, my country and I thank you on behalf of my nation.

Our Republic, which was declared 103 years ago with the ideal of being the orphan of the homeless, was born as a ray of hope for our beloved nation as well as for the oppressed and victimized people of the world. Praise be to God, in the past 103 years, our Republic has not only fulfilled its founding ideals. At the same time, it took root in hearts. The Republic of Türkiye, the common work and common roof of 86 million people, continues to run from success to success with the great achievements it has made in every field. We will declare the coming period as the Turkish century.

We are determined to eliminate those who try to come between us and our goals.
