Referring to the regional crises and the humanitarian tragedies in Gaza, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz said, "What happened in Gaza showed us that only science and technology are not enough. A humane civilization cannot be built without combining science and technology with morality, virtue, law and human dignity. That is why, as the Republic of Turkey, we say 'The world is bigger than 5' in the international arena. This is not just a demand for United Nations reform; it is a search for a more just world. With the understanding of the Alliance of the Virtuous, all humanitarian issues can be built." "We must be able to come together with the world," he said.

Referring to Türkiye's economic data, Yılmaz said, "We are the 11th largest economy in the world according to purchasing power parity and the 16th largest economy in nominal dollars. Our economic size, which was 238 billion dollars in 2002, will reach 1.8 trillion dollars by the end of this year. With economic growth, the demands and expectations of society are also rising. In addition, we have experienced a great restoration period in social policies; huge investments in education, health and our social security system." "We did it," he said.

Emphasizing that civil politics has become stronger and tutelage centers have been eliminated, Yılmaz made the following statements:

"In my opinion, the biggest transformation took place in the field of democracy and law. Tutelary structures were liquidated, civilian politics became dominant. Meaningless taboos and bans were abolished. An environment was created where our people could freely live their native language, belief and identity. Despite the groups that frightened the people in the past by saying 'If freedom comes, the country will fall apart', our country did not fall apart, on the contrary it became stronger. This environment of freedom also provided a strong basis for our development. We will continue to build the 'Türkiye Century' with our strong leadership and experienced staff."
