The 6th session of the 11th Legislative Yuan will begin today (29th), and a vote on the Supervisory Yuan’s personnel consent rights will be held. Secretary-General of the Presidential Office Pan Meng'an accompanied the Chairman and Vice President of the Supervisory Yuan and the Supervisory Committee nominees to visit the Democratic Progressive Party group. He revealed that the government had called the legislative Yuan political groups twice to inquire about the meeting. Unfortunately, he did not receive a positive response. He still hopes that all the Supervisory Committee nominees can obtain the support of the ruling and opposition legislators so that the Supervisory Yuan, as a constitutional organ, can continue to operate normally.

Pan Meng'an explained that after the names of the supervisory committee were sent to the Legislative Yuan and the agenda was reviewed and scheduled, his office called three party groups before the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday and on September 14, hoping to schedule the two days of September 23 and 24 for the supervisory committee nominees to visit each party group, but unfortunately no positive response was received.

Pan Meng'an said that the office then called each party group separately on September 22, but according to the reports of each party group, everyone may be busy. "Whether it is local services, running a stall, or going abroad to rest, this is unknown."

Pan Meng'an emphasized that on today's meeting, he hopes that all the nominees for the Supervisory Committee will receive support from the ruling and opposition legislators, so that the Supervisory Yuan, a constitutional organ, can continue to operate normally.
