A Flydubai flight was diverted and landed in Saudi Arabia after an argument inside the cockpit

A Flydubai spokesman told CNN on Wednesday that a member of the plane's crew diverted the flight that was heading to Tel Aviv and landed it in Saudi Arabia, following an argument that broke out inside the cockpit.

He also stated that “the plane was successfully secured by the Flydubai crew members who were on board the flight,” and the plane landed safely at Tabuk Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The spokesman added that the company sent two replacement planes to Tabuk to assist the passengers and crew of the flight that was diverted, noting that an investigation has been opened into the incident.

“At this early stage, the causes and motives behind this event remain unknown and are subject to an official investigation,” the spokesperson said.

He continued: "We urge all parties to refrain from making premature speculation while the authorities gather the facts."
