Ye Zhulin, the independent candidate for Penghu County Magistrate, went to Beichen Market in Magong City to sweep the streets today (16th), accompanied by the famous singer Dai Meijun. The two of them shook hands and said hello to the market vendors and purchasers one by one along the way. Although Ye Zhulin did not have any political party support, the singer crossed the sea to support him, and many supporters at the scene joined the team, showing his competitive strength.

Ye Zhulin has been deeply involved in Penghu for a long time. He has served as legislative assistant to Chen Guimiao, district chief, Penghu County councilor and mayor of Magong for two terms, accumulating experience in grassroots services and local administration. His performance in the current county magistrate election is extraordinary. The three-legged governor affects the outcome of the election, and the top three votes are close. After participating in the county magistrate election again this year, he also continued to visit five townships and one city, and directly communicated with the people through temple lectures and other methods, calling on the people to put aside the baggage of the blue and green parties and elect leaders who can really do things and lead Penghu to further progress.

Dai Meijun said that this trip was just to cheer up "dad" Ye Zhulin. She believes that Ye Zhulin has been serving Penghu for a long time, has feelings and sense of responsibility for the land, and is willing to work for the people. She hopes that everyone will know more about Ye Zhulin’s thoughts on the future of Penghu and give more recognition to those who work seriously.

Ye Zhulin said that he is not running for an election, but hopes to truly implement his years of observation and preparation for Penghu into governance. The policy issues he has recently proposed cover medical and emergency care, transportation equality, tourism transformation, fishery development, youth return home, elderly care and education, etc. He also emphasized that "people first, Penghu first", hoping that the election campaign will return to the comparison of policy content and governance capabilities. In addition to proposing a vision, the next county magistrate must have administrative experience, integration and execution capabilities, and do what he has said one by one.
