A 55-year-old man surnamed Lin from Nantou County went to a friend's house in Shuili Township to drink over the weekend. He drove home drunk and drove in the opposite direction. The police found him following him on patrol and asked him to stop and get checked. However, he sped away, turned off the lights, ran red lights, snaked, and finally stopped after hitting a telegraph pole, but still refused to get out of the car. Lin's sobriety test was as high as 0.71. Not only was he transferred to law enforcement for public danger, but he also had 36 traffic violation tickets waiting for him.

The Jiji Police Station pointed out that at about 10 o'clock last night, officers from the Shuili Branch were patrolling Zhongshan Road, Shuili Township, Nantou County, and found a white car driving in the opposite direction. The patrol car pressed its siren to signal him to stop, but the other party ignored him. The police used the siren and the microphone to ask the driver to stop. The car was inspected, but the car did not stop. He ran red lights, drove in the opposite direction, turned off the lights so that the police could not see his car, drove in a snake, and did almost all the violations. It also rammed a motorcycle parked on the roadside, and finally stopped after hitting a roadside electric pole on Bade Street in Shuili Township.

The driver of the car, a 55-year-old man surnamed Lin, did not get out of the car after he stopped. The police shot his left front wheel and used pepper spray before finally pulling Lin out of the car.

Lin's alcohol content tested 0.71 mg per liter. According to Article 185-3 of the Criminal Code, he was charged with violating safe driving and was transferred to the Nantou District Prosecutor's Office for investigation. Not only was he brought to justice for drunk driving twice, the police also counted as many as 36 traffic violations against him, and a bill was issued for each of them.

It is understood that the amount of fines for traffic violations has been increasing. The 36 fines are considerable. For example, if you refuse to obey the inspection and speed up to escape, the fines start at 10,000 yuan; running a red light costs 2,700 to 4,000 yuan; failing to use lights in accordance with regulations (not turning on headlights) 1,200 to 3,600 yuan; snaking 6,000 yuan to 36,000 yuan. Lin is afraid that he will not be able to pay all the fines in the future.
