Debate between candidates discusses proposals and reinforces the importance of democratic dialogue

The meeting aimed to delve deeper into the candidates' proposals and discuss topics of interest to the population. The participants were positioned at a round table next to the mediator, presenter Antônio de Castro, and had 15 minutes of speech to manage throughout the discussion.

Six themes were defined in advance and communicated to the campaigns, with the order of subjects drawn before the debate began. Candidates were able to request the floor to make interventions of up to one minute and 30 seconds, without speaking twice consecutively. At the end, everyone had one minute for final considerations.

"I wanted to thank, especially Ronaldo, Erika, Marley, you for this opportunity. We are democrats. I think democracy is discussed face to face. I'm very sorry that the top three didn't come. That's not democracy. Democracy is debate. We debated here. Nobody offended anyone. I think politics has to be done that way. I was raised that way. I learned a lot from Tancredo too. I lived a lot with Tancredo. He was a conciliatory man, a man that was going to change this country, unfortunately he didn't have the chance. So let's change this country. No more fighting, no more insults. Let's think about Brazil moving forward, a Brazil that truly dignifies this generation that is coming behind."
