This whole mess with allegations of cheating in personal elections shows how crazy the whole system is designed. This method of increasing democracy was introduced in the 1998 elections. It opens up campaigns that are more or less illegal and not at all what was intended. You should not be able to buy your way into the Riksdag or other popularly elected political positions by collecting crosses with methods at or above the legal limit. The experiment with personal voices has failed!

What to believe? DN gives two options when it suggests in the lead that Riksdag member Mohamed Abdukardir Ali (V) was illegally elected to Riksdag, but among the news in the same newspaper (24/9) says that the chancellor at the Electoral Authority says that crossed ballots according to the Electoral Review Board are not wrong.
