A junior student from Ruifang, New Taipei, stabbed a senior high school student with scissors. Police investigate motive

A 14-year-old junior high school student surnamed Xu, who attends a private middle school in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, and a 17-year-old senior high school student surnamed Huang, had an argument while buying drinks at a beverage shop in Ruifang City yesterday afternoon. Xu suddenly took out a pair of food scissors from a noodle soup stall and stabbed Huang in the neck. Huang lost his breathing and heartbeat for a time. He was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment and his vital signs were restored. During the ongoing treatment, the police are clarifying Xu's motive for committing the crime.

Police investigation revealed that Xu Sheng and Huang Shao had an argument on the bus and got off the bus in Ruifang City at around 4 p.m. They happened to go to a beverage shop on Minsheng Street to queue up to buy drinks. During the period, they argued again. Xu Shaotu took out a pair of food scissors from the closed noodle soup stall in the arcade and stabbed Huang Shaotu in the neck. After Xu Sheng committed the crime, he walked to the Ruifang Police Station of the Ruifang Police Station in New Taipei City, a two-minute walk away, to report the crime. He said calmly: "I stabbed people with scissors." The police took Xu to the location of the crime to confirm. At the same time, they seized the scissors that Mr. Xu had discarded on the ground after committing the crime.

The student said that after the two got off the bus, Huang and his classmates queued up to buy drinks at a beverage shop. They saw Xu walking up to the 180-centimetre-tall Huang Shao to talk.
