Statement from Devlet Bahçeli about his residence in İmralı and his candidacy for the Presidency

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli spoke about his previous statements that a new residence was being prepared for Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island. Bahçeli said that the building built within the İmralı Prison campus is not a villa.

"A RESIDENCE OF 250 SQUARE METERS WAS BUILT"

Speaking to journalist Ceyhun Bozkurt, Bahçeli said, "There is no such thing as a villa. A 250 square meter residence was built. This residence is already within the prison campus." he said. Stating that the house was prepared for Öcalan to hold his meetings and convey his messages, Bahçeli said, "A residence was built so that he could hold his meetings and convey his messages." he said.

Bahçeli stated that the dissolution of the organization is important in the process and said, "His statement in 2025 and his statement in February 2026 are no different from each other, and it is important that he is behind this process in terms of the disappearance of the organization." he said.

"OUR CANDIDATE IS ERDOĞAN"

Making a statement about the presidential elections, Bahçeli said that MHP's candidate in the upcoming election is President Erdoğan.

"2 OF THE THREE CRESCENTS ARE OK, IT'S THE 3RD'S TURN"

Bahçeli stated that President Erdoğan won the 2018 and 2023 elections and said, "The President has completed two of the three crescents. He won the 2018 and 2023 elections, now the third crescent of the three remains. Hopefully, he will complete the third crescent." he said.

"IT IS NORMAL TO MEET WITH MAYORS"

Bahçeli also spoke about Mansur Yavaş's meeting with President Erdoğan. He stated that it was normal for Erdoğan to meet with mayors.
