Evaluation of the UN 81st General Assembly Week from Minister of Foreign Affairs Fidan

Fidan shared a post about the UN 81st General Assembly week on his NSosyal account.

Reminding that they carried out intense diplomacy traffic under the chairmanship of President Erdoğan in New York, USA, within the scope of the 81st UN General Assembly week, Fidan stated that in addition to the President's contacts, officials from the ministry and other Turkish institutions also held many bilateral meetings and represented Türkiye by attending the meetings.

Fidan emphasized that these studies carried out throughout the week reflect the effectiveness of Turkish diplomacy extending to different geographies and its ability to take initiative on a wide agenda, and said:

"We contributed to studies on issues such as climate change, food security, mediation and migration, especially in Palestine. We announced our priorities regarding the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31 Summit) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which we will host."

Underlining that the interest shown in the initiatives led by Türkiye and the proposals it offers for the peaceful resolution of crises once again demonstrates the increasing diplomatic weight of the country, Fidan said, "Under the leadership of our President, we will continue to work with the same determination to protect the rights and interests of our country, strengthen peace and stability in our region and contribute to the construction of a more fair international order." he stated.
