Evaluation from Foreign Minister Fidan regarding the UN General Assembly contacts

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan held contacts in New York within the scope of the High Level Week of the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations (UN). In his post on his virtual media account regarding his work within the scope of the UN, Minister Fidan stated that the interest shown in the initiatives led by Turkey and the suggestions it offers for the peaceful resolution of the crises once again reveals Turkey's increasing diplomatic weight.

Stating that they contribute to studies on issues such as climate change, food security, mediation and migration, especially in Palestine, Fidan stated that they announced their priorities for the COP31 Summit to be hosted by Turkey.

Minister Fidan noted that they carried out intense diplomacy traffic in New York within the scope of the 81st UN General Assembly High Level Week, which they attended under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and said, "In addition to the contacts of our President, officials from our Ministry and other relevant institutions held many bilateral meetings and represented our country in meetings. The work we carried out throughout the week reflected the effectiveness of Turkish diplomacy extending to different geographies and its ability to take initiative on a wide agenda. Under the leadership of our President, our country's rights "We will continue to work with the same determination to protect their interests, strengthen peace and stability in our region, and contribute to the construction of a more just international order."
