According to the Highway Police Battalion (BPRv), the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) responded to the incident and confirmed a death at the scene. Three other people were rescued and taken to a hospital, where the second victim later died.

Also according to BPRv, it was not possible to identify the victims or define the drivers of each vehicle at the time of assistance. Witnesses were not found at the scene.

Teams from the Scientific Police and the Legal Medical Institute (IML) were called to carry out the investigation and collect the bodies.

A woman died in the early hours of Monday (7) after the car she was driving left the road and overturned on Highway SE-270, close to Povoado Carlos Torres, in the municipality of Salgado.

According to the Highway Police Battalion (BPRv), the vehicle was traveling towards Salgado/Itaporanga D'Ajuda when the driver lost control of the steering while making a curve. During the rollover, the driver was thrown out of the car.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was at the scene and confirmed the death. The Scientific Police carried out the investigation and the Legal Medical Institute (IML) collected the body.

The car, which provides services to Salgado City Hall, was released to a person responsible for the municipality.
